What shoes should Brent wear to our 2pm meeting?

A certain caramel-colored someone found a smorgasbord in Brent's closet last night:

And this one she found particularly tasty:

Here is the guilty party in her latest mug shot:

We know all of this non-digestible leather will be making a re-appearance shortly.

We're just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Ask Brent how it feels to have dog slobber around his ankles!

I thought I heard thunder, but it was probably her tummy rumbling. She looks ever-so-slightly miserable in her mug shot.

Believe it or not, I've actually seen people wear shoes like this to work. Well, not the ones with only soles remaining, but some that have looked as bad as the others!

Let us know how it all "comes out", so to speak.

#1 Hey, will I be seeing Brent in my knitted slipper class?

#2 It's a good think that Brent's flexible and creative- he can get away with wearing shoes like that.

#3 Don't people pay for soles on which to knit felted shoes?

#4 Can you get soles re-shoed?

#5 Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without.

#5 What next? -e

Well, we never had shoes consumed but did come home to major sections of the leather couch missing!! It does work itself out. Have found that the bitter apple spray helps, must be done often. Also use the Comfort Zone dog appeasing pheromone. Seems to make a difference, calmer dogs! I can tell when I have forgotten to put on a new bottle. They also make a collar that you can put on the dog. It is the joy of dog parenting...also shut all doors to closets and keep the lid on the potty down....

My pup is on her 8th or 9th pair....at least my closet door shuts now. I'm trying bitter apple spray on a bait shoe now.

arrrgghhh...it's true love when the rescue puppy goes for the shoes. Startin' to feel right at home. That's the good news. Baad news - Cole Haans...that hurt.
Good toy for chewing is the fire hose chewies at Pet Co. Fabulous and almost indestructable. Good advice about the doors. Hang in there. You've done a good thing rescuing him. Perhaps the end result will be slow going enough he won't want to do it again.

I feel luchy -- my rescue dog only destroyed one pair -- although it was my favorite, way too expensive Sesto Meucci pair. Dogs always go for the good leather. For my sweet dog, our solution was to leave out several rawhide rolls to gnaw on. This satisfied the cowhide craving. We also made sure we hid all the shoes.

Pardon me, Brent, but is that the cat that ate your new shoes? Track 29? Who'll housebreak the rhyme, and will it get here on time?

A great illustration of why you should crate your dog when you're gone. Your shoes will be safe and so will your dog's tummy.
